a little question

heya everyone! we're not as good at keeping up around here as we probably should be (okay that's something we can say about almost every social connection we have), but we hope y'all are doing well!
so, we're going through our old cohost works again. and we're thinking about how to best organize the stuff we're bringing over to other places. a lot of it's probably ending up here (with the more furry-oriented stuff also getting mirrored onto more furry-specific sites), but in particular, there's a lot of writing prompt stuff we did that we're thinking about.
we've seen the new standard is to port everything as individual stories, and do y'all think that's what we should be doing, rather than gathering for example every "make up a demon" story into one masterpost?
(we're gonna gather all our stories from last year's monsterfucktober into one collection already, considering it'll be easier to post on other relevant websites, as well as the beast in the forest story (which, to be fair, would just be collecting all four chapters into a single file and not quite the same), but wanted to know if y'all think we should do the same with some other stuff. either way, start expecting some more cohost reposts the coming days!)

I'll gladly take presentation that's idiosyncratic for considered reasons!

Date: 2024-10-23 10:13 pm (UTC)Hello! Good to see ya! Hmm... I'm not sure what would be best for things like writing prompt stuff that sticks to a theme but are different stories 🤔 My original intention with ALL of my writing was to make separate posts for each story and use my second sticky post here to organize my main series into its timeline, like I did on cohost, and then add sections at the bottom for disparate stories/series with links to non-sticky posts that I would use to collect THOSE stories... but clicking a link to go to a new post where you click a link to go to a specific story is a bit fiddly.
Been thinking of doing it an alternative way, by, assigning a specific tag to each type of story and then linking the tags at the bottom of my sticky story post so that, once clicked on, it would bring up a page with all posts that have that tag. This has the problem of doing it in reverse chronological order though, so it isn't well suited for continuing series.
So yeah, I haven't figured it out myself yet, but those are the two main ideas I was kicking around, and maybe your circumstances will allow you to take advantage of them better than I ^u^
Looking forward to adding your re-posts to my reading list (for whenever I can get to it), especially whenever the beast in the forest story comes around, as I only got halfway through it on cohost before things got busy D: Wishing y'all well! Take care Critters! <3
